Did you know that the chance of developing invasive breast cancer at some time in a woman's life is about 1 in 8 and that women living in North America have the highest rate of breast cancer in the world? Currently there are about 2.5 million breast cancer survivors in the United States. Fortunately death rates from breast cancer have been declining due to earlier detection through screening and increased awareness, as well as improved treatment. You can help the reduction in breast cancer and in finding a cure by helping raise awareness during the month of October which is the Breast Cancer awareness Month.
